Aly Ngouille Ndiaye to launch PSD Njariñ political party in Linguère
Former minister Aly Ngouille Ndiaye is set to officially launch his new political party, the Parti pour la Souveraineté et le Développement (PSD Njariñ), on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The launch ceremony will take place at the Alé Badara Sy center in Linguère, located in the Djolof region.
Linguère serves as Ndiaye’s political stronghold and the location of his current mayoralty. The choice of venue is intended to anchor his new political project in his home territory. The event is expected to draw significant numbers of militants and supporters to present the party's platform and begin a new phase of national mobilization.
Ndiaye, an engineer and former government official, previously held several ministerial portfolios, including Energy, Mines and Industry, Interior, and Agriculture. His political trajectory shifted in 2023 following disagreements regarding the Benno Bokk Yakaar coalition's presidential candidacy.
