Alyssa Farah Griffin reveals infant son's skull surgery
Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of ‘The View’, shared that her infant son, Justin Jr., recently underwent cranial facial surgery. The procedure was necessary to address a condition where the skull may fuse prematurely, which can lead to physical and developmental issues if the brain grows into the fused area.
The medical issue was identified by a pediatrician who noticed a ‘slight inconsistency’ in the infant’s head during a routine check-up. Griffin noted that performing the surgery at three months old allowed for a less invasive procedure compared to waiting until the condition became more significant.
Griffin described the experience as the ‘scariest moment’ of her life, particularly due to the risks involved, such as potential blood loss. She reported that her son has made a ‘perfect, full recovery’ and will wear a corrective helmet as his skull continues to heal.
