Alyssa Healy joins Fox Cricket as permanent commentator for Summer of the Century

Former Australian women's cricket captain Alyssa Healy has been appointed as a permanent member of the Fox Cricket commentary team ahead of the network’s “Summer of the Century” coverage. The move follows her retirement from professional play in March 2026 after a 16‑year international career that included more than 7,300 runs, 278 dismissals, six T20 World Cup titles and a 2022 ODI World Cup win. Healy will feature in broadcasts of Australia’s upcoming Test series against Bangladesh in Darwin and Mackay, as well as other fixtures involving South Africa, New Zealand, England, India and the historic 150th‑anniversary Ashes Test.

Fox Sports managing director Steve Crawley said Healy will bring “passion, insight and authenticity” to the coverage. Healy herself emphasized that her role is to explain players’ decisions rather than criticize, stating, “My job isn’t to go there and criticise players. My job is actually to explain why I think they’re making the decisions that they are.”
