Alytus City Leads Dzūkija Region in High School Exam Scores

Alytus city has maintained its position as the top performer in the Dzūkija region for secondary school graduation exams. In 2026, city students earned 89 hundred‑point scores, representing about 20.2% of all examinees, far outpacing neighboring municipalities—Alytus district recorded 4 scores, Druskininkai 4, Lazdijai 3 and Prienai 2.

The lead persisted from 2025, when Alytus city students secured 186 hundred‑point scores, accounting for 24.9% of regional examinees, with 112 students achieving this level. In the same year, Druskininkai obtained 28 scores, Varėna 26, and Alytus district 11. These results underscore the city’s strong preparation and the opportunities it provides for students pursuing higher education in Lithuania and abroad.
