Alytus City Municipality provides support for small businesses

The Alytus City Municipality has provided financial support to local small businesses, including a 3,000 EUR grant to Justina's veterinary clinic. This funding allowed the clinic to acquire specialized surgical equipment that uses a clamping method instead of traditional surgical sutures to tie off blood vessels.

According to clinic owner Justina Urbanavičienė, this new technology helps prevent infections, speeds up surgical procedures, and allows for a higher volume of operations per day. The municipality is encouraging other small and medium-sized enterprises to apply for similar project funding for business ideas until August 31.
