Alytus district hosts summer musical and school anniversary events

The Alytus district is hosting several cultural and community events to mark the end of summer. In Miroslavas, the local municipality celebration will feature live music from the group ‘Tuoj’.

In Santaika, the 11th annual guitar evening, ‘Po rugpjūčio žvaigždžių lietumi’ (Under the August Star Shower), is scheduled for August 23. This year, the event coincides with the 37th anniversary of the Baltic Way. The program will feature the Kaunas-based live music group ‘TENORAS’, alongside local performers such as Juozas Kavaliauskas, Deivydas, and Romas Navakauskas. The event is characterized by an intimate atmosphere where attendees sit on the grass to enjoy music, herbal teas, and apple pies.

Additionally, the Kurnėnai Lauryno Radziukyno School will celebrate its 90th anniversary on September 26. The milestone event invites former students and community members to commemorate the school's long history.
