Alytus launches €7.59 million business development project
The Alytus City Municipality has signed a financing agreement with the Central Project Management Agency to launch a business development promotion project. The initiative aims to increase the city's attractiveness for residents and investors by addressing infrastructure shortages that currently limit high-value business opportunities.
The project has a total value of approximately €7.59 million. Funding is provided through a combination of EU funds and the state budget (€6.45 million), with the Alytus City Municipality contributing the remaining €1.14 million.
A key component of the project involves renovating a building at Žuvinto g. 4 in Alytus to create a business cooperation hub. This center will target micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startup entrepreneurs, providing specialized laboratories, shared workspaces, and access to advanced technologies to lower market entry barriers.
