Alytus library hosts poetry and music event for seniors

The Vidzgiris branch of the Jurgio Kunčino Alytus Public Library hosted a special event titled ‘Lines and Melodies to the Heart’ to celebrate Senior Citizens' Day on October 8.

The gathering featured poetry readings and musical performances designed to bring the community together. Members of the ‘Tėkmė’ literary club, Dalė Baranauskienė and Irena Busilienė, read various poems, including works such as ‘Spaliui’ and ‘Sapnai’.

Complementing the literary readings, the Alytus vocal ensemble ‘Žara’, led by Dalia Kočiūnė, performed several songs, including ‘Aš ant balto smėlio’ and ‘Tu vėjo paklausk’, creating a warm atmosphere for the attendees.
