Alytus Mayor gifts speed meter to police for professional holiday

During the celebration of the Police Profession Day, also known as Guardian Angels Day, in Alytus, Mayor Nerijus Cesiulis presented a gift to the local police departments. The Mayor donated a new LaserCam 4 handheld speed meter to the Alytus City and District Police Commissariats.

The device is designed to measure vehicle speeds between 16 and 320 km/h in 0.33 seconds and can identify European license plates from distances exceeding 200 meters. Mayor Cesiulis stated that the tool aims to provide officers with modern equipment to ensure road safety and discipline drivers who exceed speed limits.
