Alytus student council members meet with municipality leaders

Members of the Alytus City Municipality Student Council (AMSMT) met with Mayor Nerijus Cesiulis to discuss upcoming plans and issues relevant to local youth. The meeting focused on youth expectations, needs, and potential collaborative changes within the city.

Key upcoming initiatives include the traditional Autumn Forum in mid-October, which is expected to host over 320 student council representatives from across Lithuania. Discussions at the forum will cover topics such as emotional literacy, economics, and politics. Additionally, a conference for Alytus city student councils is planned for November to address challenges like declining student council activity in educational institutions.

Students also discussed daily life improvements, noting that municipal specialists have already responded to suggestions regarding public transport schedules. AMSMT President Auksė Genevičiūtė highlighted the success of summer events and expressed a desire for continued dialogue between the municipality and the city's youth.
