Alytus transforms into high-tech manufacturing hub
The city of Alytus, Lithuania, is transitioning from a traditional industrial center to a hub for high-tech manufacturing and innovation. Recent investments have brought companies to the Alytus Industrial Park that develop and manufacture specialized products for international markets.
Key companies driving this shift include VIRPIL Controls, which produces high-end flight simulator equipment such as control panels and bases for professional and gaming use. Metsolar specializes in customized solar modules designed to be integrated directly into building facades and roofs. Additionally, Koderus is developing innovative facade systems that combine insulation and finishing elements.
Alytus Mayor Nerijus Cesiulis noted that the presence of these innovative, export-oriented businesses indicates the city is on the right path, providing not only manufacturing space but also the necessary conditions for research, development, and expansion.
