World Alzheimer's Day initiatives held across Europe

Various communities across Europe are holding events to observe World Alzheimer's Day and raise awareness about dementia.

In Italy, the Azienda Sanitaria Locale di Potenza is hosting information points for prevention and diagnosis. In Montopoli, the Alzheimer Fest drew approximately 300 participants for a day of community activities including music, dance, and workshops to combat social isolation. In Figline, a scientific and social discussion was organized to address the impact of the disease on families. In Ontinyent, the AFAO association is conducting training workshops and information campaigns.

In France, the Remiremont branch organized intergenerational meetings involving children and elderly residents to foster social connection through music and games. In Germany, a dementia-sensitive church service was held in Kaufbeuren to promote dignity and respect for those affected, accompanied by the distribution of tactile blankets to provide comfort to patients.
