With over 900,000 people affected by the disease in France, researchers have achieved a breakthrough in early detection using non-invasive blood tests. This allows for earlier patient management through non-medicinal solutions and easier integration into clinical trials.

While a cure does not yet exist, research has improved the understanding of the disease's causes, including genetic factors which account for 60% to 80% of cases, as well as environmental and infectious factors. Currently, specific Alzheimer's medications are not available on the French market because their benefit-to-risk ratio is deemed insufficient, despite showing efficacy in a very small number of specific patients.
