Alzheimer's support initiatives expand in Spain

In Spain, various organizations are strengthening support systems for Alzheimer's patients and their families. Seniors Lanjarón and the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients (AFAVIDA) have signed a collaboration agreement to establish a preferential referral protocol and constant communication. This partnership aims to provide specialized care for dependent elderly individuals and alleviate the burden on families through a cascaded service model.

Additionally, the Association of Relatives and Friends of People with Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's Disease, and other Dementias (AFATA) in Talavera de la Reina is organizing a program of activities to commemorate World Alzheimer's Day. Running from September 7 to October 10, the program follows the theme ‘The NO is no longer the answer,’ a slogan adopted from the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Relatives with Alzheimer's and other dementias (CEAFA). The initiative advocates for better public access to scientific advancements and treatments, demanding that Alzheimer's be treated with the same priority as other diseases.
