Alzira's New Judicial Complex Set to Open in July

The Alzira Justice Palace, a new five‑storey building covering 4,800 m², will begin operations on 1 July and finish the transition by 9 July. Funded with roughly €23 million by the Generalitat Valenciana, the complex will consolidate eight current courts and related services for more than 141,000 residents across 23 municipalities in the Ribera del Xúquer area. It features 43 multipurpose rooms, 71 offices, a civil registry, a guard courtroom, a medical‑forensic clinic, and other facilities, designed for future expansion to up to 13 courts.

The project is part of the regional government's broader justice investment, with a budget of €613 million for 2026 – a 5.6 % increase over the previous year – aimed at modernising and centralising judicial infrastructure, following similar works in Llíria, Gandia and the renovation of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community.
