Am Goldeck GmbH enters bankruptcy proceedings amid Salzburg project stall
Bankruptcy proceedings have been opened for Am Goldeck GmbH, a real estate company based in Altmünster, following an application by a creditor to the Salzburg Regional Court. The company is responsible for the 'Am Goldeck' project in Salzburg's old town, a revitalization effort involving three historic buildings intended to house a boutique hotel, offices, and shops. The project has been at a standstill since autumn 2024.
Financial reports indicate that the company faces liabilities of approximately 31.6 million euros, while assets were reported at roughly 28.02 million euros as of late 2024. The majority shareholder, the developer vonree, which holds a 94 percent stake, also entered bankruptcy proceedings in July at the Steyr Regional Court.
Dr. Helmut Hüttinger has been appointed as the insolvency administrator. Creditors have until October 29, 2026, to register their claims through KSV1870. The first creditors' meeting is scheduled to take place at the Salzburg Regional Court on November 12, 2026.
