AMA BOOKS to open in Asakura, Fukuoka

Asakura Note Co., Ltd. has announced the opening of AMA BOOKS, a new bookstore located within the Nagano Interior Asakura Main Store in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Scheduled to open on December 4, 2026, the establishment aims to serve as a cultural hub that connects local life and community through literature.

The concept integrates books with furniture, utilizing the showroom of the long-standing furniture manufacturer Nagano Interior. The project was inspired by the 2025 “FUK BOOK” event, which demonstrated the synergy between reading and furniture. Minoru Oi, representative of the independent bookstore Books Kubrick, will supervise the book selection process. The bookstore will operate as a permanent facility with distribution support from Nippon Shuppan Hanbai Co., Ltd. (Nippan).
