AMA Conectama congress addresses AI and healthcare law

The first edition of Conectama, a congress organized by the mutual AMA, took place on October 21 in Madrid. The event brought together healthcare professionals, legal experts, researchers, and sector managers to discuss the intersection of healthcare and law.

Key topics included the impact of artificial intelligence on medical consultations, professional civil liability, and the digital transformation of hospitals. Specific debates focused on the use of AI and the recording of consultations, examining how these technologies affect the relationship between professionals and patients.

The congress also featured a meeting with general councils from eight healthcare professions: medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, podiatry, and optometry-optometry. Discussions extended to scientific innovation, genomic medicine, and the development of more connected and flexible healthcare models that extend care beyond traditional hospital settings.
