AMA Whiskey&Co. to distill GodSpirits gin at new Oki Islands distillery
AMA Whiskey&Co. Inc. has announced that its craft gin, ‘GodSpirits’, will transition to production at its own distillery, Distillery Drift Mark, located in Ama Town within the Oki Islands, Shimane Prefecture. The new production phase is scheduled to begin with a product launch on September 16, 2026.
The gin is designed to reflect the local environment of the Oki Islands, utilizing regional ingredients such as Kuromoji (litsea cubeba), Ama-produced mikan oranges, arame seaweed, and bittern derived from Ama salt. The distillation process will also incorporate local water from the Amakawa area.
To highlight the unique characteristics of each harvest and the inaugural year of the new distillery, the new labels will feature the production year, ‘2026’. The product will be available in two sizes: a 700ml bottle and a 375ml bottle, intended to make the spirit more accessible to new consumers and travelers seeking local souvenirs.
