AMACI to host 22nd Contemporary Art Day in Italy

The 22nd edition of the Contemporary Art Day, organized by the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums (AMACI), is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026. During this event, 28 AMACI-affiliated museums and various other Italian cultural entities will open their doors to the public free of charge.

The participating network includes foundations, galleries, independent spaces, cultural associations, academies, and private collections. The initiative aims to promote contemporary art through exhibitions, meetings, workshops, and performances. The theme for this edition is ‘Geographies of Contemporaneity,’ which explores the present as a constantly changing space where territories, identities, and relationships are redefined through exchange and conflict.

While the full program will be finalized in the coming weeks, institutions interested in participating can submit their adesions until Friday, October 9, 2026.
