Amadito de la Cruz returns to lead Club Marcelino Vega

Coach Amadito de la Cruz has been rehired to lead the Club Marcelino Vega basketball team, known as the ‘Furia Roja,’ in Hato Mayor. This marks his return to technical direction for the Villa Canto-based club for the first time since 2021.

The club aims to win the 2026 Hato Mayor Pre-Superior Tournament, organized by the Hato Mayor Basketball Association (ABAHAMA), to secure promotion to the Hato Mayor Superior Basketball Tournament.

A new management structure has been established to support this goal, featuring Alexis Vega as General Manager, Domingo Geramel as Operations Manager, and Junior Mora as Financial Manager. The team will rely on a foundation of homegrown players and local business sponsorships to compete in the upcoming season.
