Amador Valley football secures first win of season over Liberty

The Amador Valley Dons football team secured their first win and first points of the season with a 32-28 victory over Liberty. The win marks a significant milestone for the young squad under first-year coach Duncan Burgermeister.

Burgermeister noted the importance of the win for a team composed largely of freshmen and sophomores. Key contributors included freshmen Michael Harrington and Tyler Foley, as well as sophomore quarterback James Willis. The team had struggled in their first two games, failing to score any points prior to this matchup.
