Amadou Ba visits Mayor Djamil Sané in Parcelles Assainies

Former Prime Minister Amadou Ba visited the Parcelles Assainies commune on Friday to offer condolences to Mayor Djamil Sané following the death of the mayor's mother. Ba, the president of Nouvelle Responsabilité/Jamm-ji and former member of the APR, was accompanied by former wrestling champion Modou Lô.

The visit carries political significance due to the differing affiliations of the two men; while Ba served under President Macky Sall, Sané is a member of Pastef, the party led by Ousmane Sonko. Despite these partisan divides, the meeting highlighted local social solidarity and proximity within the commune. Following the condolence visit, Ba met with local political figures Go Faye and Mansour Ba to discuss their political engagement.
