In Switzerland, the Totalrepair competence network for bodywork and paint has expanded significantly, growing from 36 specialists to 139 partner companies over the last three years. The network provides training and assistance to help businesses meet rising quality and sustainability standards.

Since 2019, damage costs have increased by 21 percent. This creates a tension between the desire for cost-effective repairs requested by customers and insurers, and the rising complexity and cost of parts. Industry experts emphasize the importance of performing repairs that are appropriate to the vehicle's value to avoid unnecessary total losses on older models.
