Amaia Montero celebrates 50th birthday during La Oreja de Van Gogh comeback tour

Spanish singer Amaia Montero is celebrating her 50th birthday amidst a successful comeback tour with the pop group La Oreja de Van Gogh. This marks her return to the band 18 years after she departed to pursue a solo career.

Montero is currently performing the ‘Tantas cosas que contar’ tour, which began in Bilbao in May and has seen sold-out shows in cities including Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia. The tour is scheduled to conclude in Madrid on December 30 before expanding to Latin America in 2025, with confirmed dates in Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.

Reflecting on her milestone birthday, Montero expressed a sense of personal peace and maturity. She noted that while aging has its disadvantages, she would not trade her current perspective for the insecurities of her youth or the doubts of her thirties.
