Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni receives African Excellence Prize in Paris

Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, has received the African Excellence Prize in Paris. The award, presented during the Africa Next Awards 2026, recognizes her work in the category of ‘Artificial Intelligence, Digital Sovereignty, and Public Innovation.’

The distinction honors her contributions to digital transformation, the modernization of public administration, and the development of artificial intelligence. Seghrouchni noted that the award reflects broader advancements in Morocco’s digital landscape, including efforts to improve connectivity and digital infrastructure in rural areas to reduce the digital divide.

This recognition coincides with the ministry’s preparation of an administrative transformation roadmap for 2026–2030. The Moroccan government’s strategy emphasizes the integration of digital transition with administrative reform to simplify procedures, improve public service quality, and enhance efficiency for both citizens and businesses.
