Amal Movement calls for international complaints over Lebanese forest fires

The Amal Movement's Central Services Office has called for official international complaints and legal action following environmental damage caused by fires in Lebanon. The movement reported that fires broke out in the heights of Niha, Kfarhouna, and parts of the Western Bekaa following projectiles launched by Israeli drones.

The movement urged the Lebanese state to document these environmental attacks and notify relevant embassies and international institutions to hold those responsible accountable. They emphasized that the destruction of forests and vegetation constitutes an attack on national resources and local communities, rather than a mere passing incident.

While praising the efforts of the Lebanese Army, security forces, and Civil Defense in controlling the flames, the movement called for urgent national mobilization, including the provision of aerial and ground firefighting equipment to reach rugged, inaccessible areas.
