Amalfi Coast pediatric shortage addressed by ASL Salerno

Authorities in the Salerno province have initiated formal discussions to address a critical shortage of pediatricians in the Amalfi Coast region. An institutional meeting was held at the ASL Salerno headquarters involving regional council members, local administrators, and health directors to present technical data regarding the crisis.

Approximately 500 minors in the area currently lack an assigned pediatrician of choice. To mitigate the shortage, officials are urging families to complete the designation process for available contracted doctors via the regional Sinfonia platform or the Electronic Health Record portal.

A follow-up meeting is scheduled for September 22, which will include active local pediatricians, in an effort to establish a concrete and immediate organizational solution to ensure healthcare access for children in the territory.
