Amalfi hosts Trame di Rinascita to empower women through craftsmanship

The “Trame di Rinascita” initiative, organized by the Fondazione La Crisalide in Rete, took place in Amalfi on September 3, 2026. The event focuses on the social empowerment of women transitioning from domestic violence shelters and refuge homes through professional training and high-end Italian craftsmanship.

A key outcome of the initiative is the establishment of the first social tailoring workshop in Italy, specifically designed for women seeking autonomy and dignity through skilled labor. The project involves collaborations with various institutions and organizations, including Singer, Confartigianato Imprese Italia, and ActionAid.

During the event, psychologist and criminologist Antonella Cortese received the “Trama Cultura” award. In her acceptance, Cortese highlighted the often-overlooked impact of gender-based violence on children, calling for increased collective responsibility and protection for orphans of femicide.
