Amalfi hosts ‘Trame di rinascita’ to empower women through fashion

The ‘Trame di rinascita’ initiative, promoted by the Fondazione La Crisalide in Rete under the leadership of President Roberta Bolettieri, is set to take place in Amalfi. The event aims to use ‘Made in Italy’ fashion and craftsmanship as tools for female empowerment and social redemption.

Through specialized training, women who have transitioned from domestic violence shelters are being integrated into tailoring workshops. This has led to the creation of the first social tailoring project within the ‘Made in Italy’ sector, focusing on professionalization and autonomy for survivors of gender-based violence.

The event, held under the patronage of the City of Amalfi, features a talk titled ‘Women: protagonists of today, pillars of the future’ and involves collaboration with various social, institutional, and business entities. It is supported by organizations such as Confartigianato Italia, ActionAid, and Nora Against GBV, with co-financing from the European Union.
