Amalfi to host book presentation of ‘Leopardi a Napoli’

Author and professor Carlo Di Lieto will present his book, ‘Leopardi a Napoli: Gli ultimi anni tra il Vesuvio, la malattia e la coscienza del dolore: un percorso tra biografia e psicoanalisi’, at the Salone Morelli in Amalfi on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Published by Isolario Edizioni, the work examines the final years of the famous poet Giacomo Leopardi, who spent his last period between Naples and the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. The book utilizes a psychoanalytic perspective to explore Leopardi’s intense and contradictory life, marked by illness, isolation, and significant intellectual production.
