Amalia Kostopoulou has shared details regarding the stress and challenges she faced leading up to her wedding to Jake Mendwell in Greece. In a video posted to her YouTube channel, the daughter of Petros Kostopoulos and Jenny Balatsinou revealed that she experienced a nervous breakdown and fell ill in Paris one week before the ceremony due to intense anxiety.

Kostopoulou cited concerns over weather forecasts and the lack of a backup plan as primary stressors. She also described moments of chaos on the wedding day, including anxiety regarding her appearance and a temporary loss of car keys needed for transport.

Reflecting on her relationship, she noted that while she did not initially consider marriage when she met Mendwell at age 25, the decision to marry evolved naturally as their connection deepened. She emphasized that there is no specific timeline for marriage, stating it is a feeling of knowing someone is the right partner.
