Amancio Ortega expands real estate empire and Zara brand value

Amancio Ortega, the founder of Inditex, has established a massive global real estate empire through his company, Pontegadea. The portfolio includes over 130 assets across approximately 15 countries, valued at more than 21 billion euros. These assets comprise offices, hotels, residential buildings, logistics centers, and exclusive commercial spaces.

His high-profile tenants include major global corporations such as Amazon, Meta, Google, Apple, Spotify, and BlackRock. For instance, Amazon occupies several logistics platforms and office space in Madrid, while Meta maintains a presence in Seattle and Madrid. Apple utilizes commercial spaces in Barcelona, Valencia, and Paris.

Simultaneously, Inditex's flagship brand, Zara, has achieved significant market recognition. According to the Kantar BrandZ ranking, Zara became the world's most valuable fashion brand in May 2026, valued at 44.088 billion dollars. This valuation reflects the brand's perceived value and consumer desire rather than just sales volume. Furthermore, Inditex leads fashion companies in economic value generation, reporting a profit of 5.544 billion dollars, surpassing competitors like LVMH and Hermès.
