Amancio Ortega expands real‑estate portfolio to 132 assets in 13 countries
Inditex founder Amancio Ortega has grown his privately held real‑estate portfolio to roughly 132 properties spanning 13 nations after acquiring a Paris office complex for €850 million. In 2024 alone he completed four other purchases: a high‑end apartment tower in Boston for €205 million, a logistics centre in the Netherlands for €132 million, a Canadian logistics site for €115 million, and joined a consortium led by Macquarie to buy Australian logistics group Qube for AU$11.7 billion.
A separate listing of Ortega’s most valuable holdings shows the top assets range from the Royal Bank Plaza in Canada at €800 million to the newly bought Paris office at €850 million, with other flagship properties in London, Madrid, San Francisco and Shanghai each valued between €400 million and €700 million. The billionaire’s diversified holdings, which include hotels, warehouses, residential blocks and shopping centres, keep him among Europe’s richest individuals and the world’s top ten wealthiest.
