Amancio Ortega Foundation opens scholarship applications for US and Canada

The Amancio Ortega Foundation has opened the application period for its scholarship program, which allows students to study in the United States or Canada during the 2027-2028 academic year. The program offers 500 total placements across Spain, with 90 spots specifically reserved for students from Galicia.

Selected students will complete the equivalent of the first year of Bachillerato in public high schools abroad for approximately ten months. The scholarship covers round-trip travel, tuition, fees, accommodation and subsistence with a host family, medical and accident insurance, and academic validation in Spain.

To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in the 4th year of ESO during the 2026-2027 school year in a Spanish educational center, having completed the previous three years of ESO in Spain. A minimum academic average of 8 is required. The application deadline is September 23.
