Amancio Ortega Foundation to fund care complex in Zaragoza

The Amancio Ortega Foundation has committed to financing a major healthcare and assistance complex in the Valdespartera neighborhood of Zaragoza, Spain. The project is designed to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Managed by the non-profit organization Atades, the facility will span approximately one hectare and include up to seven buildings. The complex is expected to provide over 200 places, featuring a residence, a day center, occupational therapy spaces, and areas dedicated to vocational training and labor insertion.

The initiative aims to reduce waiting lists in the Aragon region and provide lifelong support, from early intervention through adulthood. The land, owned by the Zaragoza City Council, was granted to Atades for a 75-year period earlier this year.
