Amancio Ortega's wealth rises as Elon Musk plans massive Terafab project

Amancio Ortega, the founder of Inditex, has seen a significant increase in his wealth. According to data from Pontegadea Inversiones, his assets have grown by 8%, reaching a total of 117.083 billion euros. This growth is driven by a combined profit of 10.055 billion euros, a 7.9% increase compared to 2024. A major driver for his investment vehicle, Pontegadea Inversiones, is the continuous flow of dividends from Inditex.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk is pursuing a massive semiconductor manufacturing project called Terafab. Located in Grimes County, Texas, the proposed facility aims to integrate photolithography mask design, logic and memory chip manufacturing, advanced packaging, and testing under one roof. The project is intended to support chip needs for Tesla vehicles, Optimus robots, and SpaceX orbital computing infrastructure. While SpaceX has announced an initial investment of 16.8 billion dollars, some reports suggest the total cost could eventually reach 119 billion dollars.
