Amanda Anisimova denies Ozempic use amid body speculation

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova has publicly addressed online speculation regarding her physical transformation. Following recent social media posts showing changes in her appearance, some users accused the 25-year-old, currently ranked 11th in the WTA, of using the weight-loss medication Ozempic.

Anisimova denied these claims on social media, stating, “To all the health experts and professional body commentators in the comments: I am not using Ozempic. Please leave me alone and do not include me in your unique posts.”

The athlete has previously dealt with intense scrutiny regarding her body, including past criticism regarding her weight. She has noted that the constant commentary on her physical appearance constitutes “constant cyberbullying.” Anisimova, a former Wimbledon and US Open finalist, has also previously taken breaks from professional tennis to prioritize her mental health.
