Amanda Dias to discuss women's wealth building at Universa Talks
Amanda Dias, founder of Grana Preta, will participate in the Universa Talks event in São Paulo to discuss financial education and gender dynamics. During the talk, titled “Você não é ruim com o dinheiro” (You are not bad with money), Dias will address the cultural belief that women lack financial management skills.
Dias argues that while women often manage household finances and family resources, they are frequently not encouraged to study investments or build personal wealth. She notes that historical contexts, particularly for Black women, show they have long held leadership roles in family financial management, but lack the time, access, or opportunity to focus on personal asset accumulation due to systemic inequalities and domestic burdens.
