Amanda Serrano defends featherweight titles against Lucrecia Manzur

Amanda Serrano is set to defend her unified WBO, WBA, and Ring featherweight titles against Lucrecia Manzur on August 21 at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. The event marks a historical milestone as the first championship boxing match to be streamed live on TikTok.

Serrano, currently holding a record of 49-4-1 with 32 knockouts, is attempting to break Christy Martin’s all-time women’s boxing knockout record. A stoppage victory against Manzur would secure the record outright. Manzur, the WBO’s number two ranked contender, will be competing outside of Argentina for the first time in her professional career.

The bout will also feature a unique format, being the first unified women’s world championship contested over twelve two-minute rounds. The fight card includes Victor Santillan defending his interim WBA bantamweight/super bantamweight title against Gary Antonio Russell.
