Amanda Serrano to retire after final title defense in Puerto Rico
Seven-division world champion Amanda Serrano has announced her retirement from professional boxing. Her final bout, titled ‘The Last Walk’, is scheduled for January 9 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
Serrano will defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight world titles against Australia’s Skye Falzon. Serrano, who holds a professional record of 50–4–1 with 32 knockouts, aims to potentially break the all-time women’s knockout record during the event.
Throughout her career, Serrano has been a pioneer for women’s boxing, including headlining Madison Square Garden alongside Katie Taylor in 2022. She is a Guinness World Record holder for winning titles across seven different weight divisions and has been a vocal advocate for equal rules and recognition in the sport.
