Amanda Sthers to Appear at Vannes Book Fair Amid Patrick Bruel's Sexual Assault Trial

French novelist and screenwriter Amanda Sthers announced she will attend the Salon du livre de Vannes from 12 June, posting on Instagram: “Je serai dès vendredi au Salon du livre de Vannes.”

Her appearance comes as ex‑husband Patrick Bruel, a popular singer‑actor, has been placed under formal investigation for alleged rape, attempted rape and other sexual‑assault offences. Bruel’s recent concerts and theater performances were cancelled, and he is barred from leaving France while the case proceeds.

Sthers, who lives in Los Angeles but returned to France to be with her two sons, did not comment on the legal matter, focusing instead on her literary work and upcoming public engagement at the book fair.
