Amanda Stoker sworn in as new child safety minister
Conservative backbencher Amanda Stoker has been sworn in as the child safety minister for the Crisafulli government. The appointment took place at Government House following the resignation of Amanda Camm, who stepped down from the frontbench due to health concerns and safety fears.
Stoker will oversee portfolios including child safety, domestic and family violence prevention, and disability services. She succeeds Camm, who faced criticism regarding the handling of residential care, budget cuts to domestic and family violence services, and IT system issues within the department.
