Amantea Comics returns for ninth edition in August 2026

The ninth edition of Amantea Comics is scheduled to take place on August 21 and 22, 2026, at the Parco Comunale La Grotta in Amantea. Titled ‘WHO RUN THE WORLD?’, the festival is dedicated to the memory of Stefania Mari.

The event will focus on two primary themes: the 80th anniversary of ‘The Little Prince’ and the role of women in pop culture. The program includes workshops, tournaments, role-playing games, exhibitions, K-Pop, cosplay, and illustration activities. A notable session on August 22 will explore the world of dubbing, featuring Sara Giacopello, Dimitri Winter, and Pasquale Severino.

Additionally, the festival will host the exhibition ‘Se io non voglio, tu non puoi’ (If I don't want to, you can't), a collaboration between the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, Fondazione Una Nessuna Centomila, and COMICON. The exhibition uses visual language to address themes of consent, freedom, and the fight against gender-based violence.
