Amantea, Italy hosts integration forum and launches jazz festival season

On 3 August, the fourth edition of the Festa dei Popoli was held in Campora San Giovanni di Amantea, focusing on the theme “No remigration, yes integration”. The event, organized by local unions and associations, featured speeches by Mayor Vincenzo Pellegrino, Auser Amantea president Antonio Perricone, and representatives of CGIL, FLAI, ALPAA and the University of Calabria, followed by a concert by the Kiron Live Band.

A week earlier, the Amantea Jazz Festival announced its 2026 concert season at the Cinema Teatro Sicoli. Pianist Francesco Miniaci opened the series with jazz‑styled improvisations of classical pieces, highlighting collaborations with local municipalities and a program that blends jazz and classical repertoire.
