Amar Ličina wins Radosav Ljumović regional poetry award

Amar Ličina has won the annual regional award from the National Library ‘Radosav Ljumović’ for his poetry collection ‘Pouzdano mjerenje’ (Reliable Measurement). The award recognizes the best poetry book published in 2025 across Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.

A unanimous jury, consisting of Milorad Durutović, Đorđe Šćepović, and Stefan Sinanović, selected Ličina’s work from 19 competing entries. The jury praised the collection for its poetic maturity, original reflection on the lyrical genre, and its ability to provide a convincing depiction of modern humanity through strict composition and metaphysical skepticism.

Published by the Cultural Center Vrbas – Festival of Youth Poetry, the collection explores themes of time, the literary canon, and the individual's relationship to artistic and life ideals. The jury highlighted the work's use of narrative minimalism and irony to address the fragility of the individual in contemporary spaces such as hospital waiting rooms and railway stations.
