amaran announces amaran Cam with Auto Lighting feature

amaran has unveiled the amaran Cam, a 4K60fps webcam featuring an industry-first Auto Lighting function. Designed for content creators and livestreamers, the camera uses a 1/1.3” sensor and a wide f/1.68 aperture to provide high-quality imaging and improved low-light performance.

The Auto Lighting feature, managed via the amaran Desktop App, allows the camera to analyze facial exposure and automatically adjust compatible amaran lights within 10 seconds. At launch, the system supports up to two compatible lights with three preset looks: Even, Defined, and Bold. Future software updates are expected to expand support for more complex multi-light setups.

Additional technical specifications include 2× lossless zoom in 4K, fast hybrid autofocus that locks onto subjects in under 0.25 seconds, and native 9:16 vertical video output. The device is built for long-duration use, supporting over 72 hours of continuous 4K60 operation through active cooling. The camera also supports multi-cam setups with up to four units connected simultaneously.
