Amarante expands infrastructure with new asphalt paving and health‑education facilities

The municipality of Amarante is laying more than 15,000 m² of asphalt on streets in the city centre, the Sinhá Aires neighbourhood and the Torre area. The work is being carried out by the city hall with support from Governor Rafael Fonteles and Senator Marcelo Castro, and was highlighted by Mayor Adriano Silva as a step toward better urban mobility and quality of life.

In celebration of Amarante’s 155th anniversary, four new public facilities are being inaugurated: the CMEI Tia Zefinha early‑childhood education centre on 31 July, the upgraded Posto de Saúde Cajueiro on 3 August, and both the Policlínica Dr. Francisco Câmara and the Posto de Saúde Mamede Rodrigues on 4 August. The mayor and municipal officials presented the projects as part of a broader push to improve health and education services for residents.
