A’marco’rd becomes official volunteer organization

A’marco’rd, an association established to honor the memory of Marco Maggi, who passed away in 2024 at age 34, has officially become a registered volunteer organization (Odv). The group is now part of the municipal register of associations.

The organization is currently preparing for the third edition of its signature event, a walk in San Tomaso. A’marco’rd maintains its own fund within the Valmadrera Community Fund, which features one of the youngest average age profiles among the fund's beneficiaries. Local officials, including Mayor Cesare Colombo and Community Fund President Antonio Rusconi, noted the association's growth and its ability to transform personal grief into community service.
