Amar’e Stoudemire inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame

Former NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday, August 16, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Stoudemire, a six-time NBA All-Star and five-time All-NBA player, is the only former NBA player among the 2026 class of inductees.

During the induction gala, Stoudemire reflected on his career and his personal journey, including his conversion to Judaism and his transition to playing in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. After a 14-year NBA career with teams including the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat, he played for Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he won league championships in 2017 and 2020.

The 2026 induction class also includes coach Doc Rivers, Mike D’Antoni, referee Joey Crawford, and coach Mark Few, alongside WNBA legends Elena Delle Donne, Candace Parker, and Chamique Holdsclaw.
